7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (14 Feb - Results & Review)
Ups...
7. Guns Up (Los Garza Shines Again)

To their credit, Motor City Machine Guns vs. Los Garza didn’t try to be something it wasn’t. These lads didn’t have bags of time to work with, so they went the spot, spot, spot route and it clicked for them. Personally, one would actually like to see Los Garza become a focal point in this division, because they’ve got something about them and have been knocking it out of the park lately. Giving Sabin and Shelley the win wasn't a bad idea though.
The match was fun, and it's just the latest example of how much juice the tag division has on SmackDown these days. Machine Guns are working excellent bouts aplenty, Los Garza are coming into their own, DIY are fine champions, The Street Profits are sniffing around looking for respect, and even Pretty Deadly have a story path to follow. That's all anyone can reasonably ask from a well-rounded division.
Long may it continue.
Those who enjoy The Young Bucks style will get a kick out of Guns vs. Garza on this week's show. It was reminiscent of the sugar rush of spots the AEW duo work on their best days. Maybe not as fast as they like to go, but it was up there. There sure wasn't much room for selling in the match, admittedly, but sometimes all you need is a zippy, quickfire tag match to get the blood pumping.
Sabin and Shelley won, Angel and Berto looked good, and it's clear there's way more to come from everyone in the tag scene. A big multi-team bout at 'Mania could be an option. DIY defending vs. MCMG, Garza, Profits and Deadly isn't out of the question.
