7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Homecoming 2019
4. Respect Is Earned, Not Given
LAX's reign as World Tag Team Champions has been nothing short of excellent. Their rivalry last summer with The OGz was one of the best things about Impact in 2018, and they've continued that hot streak into 2019. Their first challengers of the new year: The Lucha Bros.
All four men put on one of the greatest Impact tag matches that this writer has ever witnessed. Sure, it's no surprise given who the four were but you still have to give credit where it's due. Every moment of the match left you wondering which way it was going to sway, and you could genuinely believe Ortiz and Santana's reign would come to a crashing end. It wasn't to be though, as they extended it to its 256th day with both teams (and Konnan, who came to ringside to congratulate them all) showing respect to one another.
LAX have beaten all-comers to cling on to the gold. It's difficult to see where they'll go next with the titles but rest assured, it'll be a classic no matter the team. Who knows, maybe they'll even pull a good match out of KM and Fallah Bahh.
