7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 18)
6. Shera Calls His Shot
Perhaps the least-anticipated bout at Bound For Glory (mainly due to the lack of mention) is the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match, which will present the winner with a championship match of their choosing somewhere down the line. Before then, we had a Battle Royal with the winner of that entering the BFG match last, and the last person eliminated entering first.
The likes of Reno Scum, The Deaners, Rosemary, and Jessicka Havok all entered the bout, but it came down to Eddie Edwards and Mahabali Shera. Following a distraction courtesy of the already eliminated Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend though, Edwards found himself unceremoniously dumped over the ropes and to the floor, as the monster of The Desi Hit Squad was declared the victor.
Out of the competitors involved here, there couldn't be anyone better to enter that match last. Have the ring fill up with competitors, then have Shera storm the ring as the final participant and go on a spree of eliminations. There's no good having a dominating entrant come in first, otherwise it may take some time for the ring to fill up, if it does at all. You want a plucky underdog to begin the bout, which Eddie Edwards fits the role of perfectly.
