7 Ups & 3 Downs from WWE Raw (19 May - Results & Review)

Ups…

7. Women Persevere

WWE Raw Rhea Ripley Kairi Sane
WWE

The moment Zoey Stark landed on the mat awkwardly and screamed, every person’s heart went out to her. Understandably, the triple threat for a Money in the Bank spot ground to a halt so medical personnel could safely get her out of the ring.

What followed was what had to be a largely called-in-the-ring match between Rhea Ripley and a returning Kairi Sane, with the two women stringing together a decent little match, with Sane fighting from underneath and hanging with the former Women’s World Champion.

Kairi survived a Prison Lock and escaped a Riptide, but she saw her big top-rope moves countered as well. A missed spinning backfist opened the door for Rhea to headbutt Sane and put her away with a Riptide and punch her ticket for Money in the Bank.

This likely wasn’t the ending they planned, but both women deserve credit for pulling this off on the fly. Best wishes to Stark in her recovery.
