2. Just Isn’t That Compelling

You've got to feel for everyone involved in the Women's Tag Title mix, 'cause they're battling uphill constantly. Piper Niven vs. Natalya was fine enough in-ring, but Nattie and Tegan Nox buddying up is just the latest random pairing for a division blighted by that trope.

Speaking of which, the exact same could be said for the reigning champs. Niven and Chelsea Green still don't come across as a watertight unit themselves. Yes, WWE had to pivot after Sonya Deville's injury, but they really need to be putting more thought into things than this.

Everyone feels so secondary and passive.

One thing must be reiterated: Blame for this doesn't lie at the feet of the workers themselves. They can only try make the best of what creative has for them, after all. Sadly, the writers seem incapable of drumming up compelling drama when those titles are involved.
