7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Oct 22)

5. Tag Tournament Hype

The Dark Order
AEW

One of Tony Schiavone's studio spots saw the legendary announcer introduce a couple of hype segments for the ongoing tag team tournament.

The first was a well-prepared greyscale highlight package that presented the wonky Dark Order act as genuinely intimidating, with Stu Grayson highlighted particularly well. After this, we got a recap of the Lucha Brothers' assault of SoCal Uncensored, then a great little promo in which Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky were earnest, angry, and ready to whoop Pentagon and Rey Fenix into another realm.

Solid stuff, this. It's nothing groundbreaking but these short packages go a long way towards generating excitement for whatever they're focused on, and Dark Order vs. SCU is more exciting as a result.
