4. Punk Cashes In For That Blood Money

The worst corners of social media undoubtedly have been going nuts sharing the screenshot of an infamous CM Punk tweet ever since it was announced Monday night that Punk would travel to Saudi Arabia to challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions.

After all, Punk had been fairly outspoken about WWE’s controversial relationship with Saudi Arabia, given the kingdom’s human rights violations and other problematic issues while he was on the outs with the company. Then, when he returned to WWE, Punk managed to avoid being a part of either Saudi show last year, being injured for King and Queen of the Ring, and being written out via injury for Crown Jewel.

But now, CM Punk is saddling up to presumably main-event a Saudi show against Cena for the WWE Title, which, interestingly enough, is a SmackDown-exclusive title, while Punk is a Raw superstar.

This needed to be said once for fairness given Punk’s vocal criticism of WWE for several years, but it shouldn’t hang around his neck here… unless he suddenly starts palling around with MBS.
