AND NEW! Gunther became a two-time World Champion on WWE Raw.

With last night's WWE Raw now in the books, Gunther now stands as a two-time World Heavyweight Champion.

In the Raw main event, the Ring General put Jey Uso to sleep as he reclaimed the prize he lost to Main Event Jey at WrestleMania 41.

That match went a little over 22 minutes and culminated with Gunther putting Uso in a sleeper, only for Jey to reverse that into his own sleeper. Unfortunately for the Yeet Man, Gunther was able to latch in a reversal of his own, switching back to his sleeper and getting the win after Uso passed out. Of course, the use of the sleeper harks back to 'Mania 41, where Uso somewhat surprisingly got Gunther to tap out to that move.

The Gunther vs. Uso rematch had been lined up for several weeks, with the big Austrian setting his stall out to face the winner of Jey and Logan Paul's Saturday Night's Main Event bout. That latest SNME had Uso put Paul away following interference from John Cena and Cody Rhodes, which led Jey back to Gunther this Monday.

Where Next?

For Jey Uso, this brings an end to his World Heavyweight Championship reign at 52 days.

While he's arguably the most popular act in all of WWE nowadays, Uso's run atop the Raw brand was a smidge underwhelming when it comes to actual matches, with him having two successful title defences since WrestleMania 41 - a DQ win over Seth Rollins and the aforementioned Logan Paul match.

Whether Jey gets an immediate rematch remains to be seen, although he did cut a post-match promo for the live crowd in which he talked about his respect for Gunther, calling the Imperium man one of the greatest wrestlers on the planet.

As for Gunther, he'll now have one eye firmly on Seth Rollins after the Visionary became Mr. Money in the Bank for a second time over this past weekend. That MITB briefcase means Rollins has a guaranteed shot at any championship of his choosing whenever and wherever Seth sees fit. In fact, many fans were predicting that Rollins would insert himself into the Uso vs. Gunther match on Monday night, either turning the bout into a triple-threat - much like he did at WrestleMania 31 - or making a post-match strike on the winner. Instead, Seth seemed more interested in CM Punk, John Cena, and the WWE Championship on Raw, making an appearance after Punk vs. Cena was set for Night of Champions on June 28.
