7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (13 March - Results & Review)
4. Tiffy Time Meets Kiana James Time
7 minutes or so was the ideal length for this match between Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James. Ideally, they’ll get longer when this is a Women’s United States Title bout after WrestleMania 42. Kiana has come on leaps and bounds. Unfortunately, Giulia is the one who’ll be squeezed out of this scenario soon. Her time on WWE's main roster has had more nay than yay for sure, but a move to Raw and a fresh start could be what she requires to get going again.
Tiffany winning this bout with Kiana was logical, and the match was well worked from beginning to end. No arguments here, basically. The finish with James accidentally big-booting Giulia onto Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre should lead to something too. It's cool that Green and Alba are still involved in things despite clearly not being a priority right this second.
Chelsea is far too talented and versatile to sit on the sidelines for long.
Think of this Stratton vs. James match as a reference point people can look back to when they're working bangers on PLE. That's surely the plan here. Tiffany has future Women's US Champ written all over her (although an elusive heel turn would be lovely too), and she'll need some opponents to come at her once she has the belt. Why not Kiana?
One of the best things about this match is that Stratton didn't run straight over the top of James or treat her like a jobber. Things got feisty and competitive, which is reflective of Kiana's improvement as a standalone worker.
