On paper, a handicap match pitting the former Raw Tag Team Champions against the former WWE Champion doesn’t seem to do too much for anyone. But attach a very simple stipulation and everything falls into place.

After they had embarrassed their stablemate, Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin challenged Drew McIntyre to a 2-on-1 match. But rather than dismiss it out of hand, or even accept it stupidly, McIntyre had a stip attached: if he won, the duo would be banned from ringside at WrestleMania.

So when they battled later, and Drew hit two hellacious Claymores to put both men down, it carried extra weight, to give him a fighting chance at Mania. Simple, and effective.
