The entire pro wrestling world was stunned when reports surfaced that MJF's future in AEW could be under threat. He had seemed like such a can't-miss prospect - the kind of young star that WWE missed out on and Tony Khan could boast about having. Then, things hit a brick wall.

All's well that ends well.

MJF returned with a bang at All Out. Truthfully, the pay-per-view needed him as much as he needed it, because this was the newsworthy, headline-making moment that the show craved going in. OK, so most could've done without the convoluted 'Joker' business earlier in the show, but it's ace to see MJF back on AEW screens.

Seeing him challenge CM Punk for the World Title will be even better. This, regardless of how bumpy the road there had been, was the strongest possible finish to All Out. It got the fans back onboard in a big way, and let everyone's favourite little pr*ck steal Punk's moment.
