In case anyone was wondering, Curt Hawkins’ televised match losing street reached 115 in a row Monday night.

Hawkins fell to Apollo Crews, who answered his open challenge to finally win a match on Raw. Crews last won on Raw in June when he was trading wins with Kalisto. It’s doubtful that this is the start of something bigger and better for the under-utilized Crews, but that’s not the point here.

What made this stand out was Hawkins directly referencing his losing streak, and giving it a number. And then after he lost, the announcers put up a graphic of the new number of losses and how he would continue to be on the losing end.

Making a losing streak into part of your gimmick is not a path to career opportunity. Eventually, you’ll hopefully break the streak and have a normal career, but until then, enjoy looking up a the lights.
