7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Roadblock

2. Bait And Switch

WWE channeled its inner WCW Saturday night, promising a match between Bray Wyatt and Brock Lesnar to finish off a feud between the Beast and the Wyatt Family. Sadly, we would see this match undergo a couple transformations before ultimately taking a completely different shape.

Without warning or reason, Wyatt suddenly decided to make it a 2-on-1 handicap match with Luke Harper teaming with him. Bray then proceeded to never tag into the match, jumping down off the apron and watching from the floor as Harper tried his damndest but ultimately got taken to Suplex City. Wyatt then retreated to the back before Brock could stalk him down.

Soooo, what was the point of that? Unless Bray was injured or WWE is saving this matchup for a later PPV, it was ridiculous to promise the match and then pull the rug out.

For a fleeting minute, the thought popped up that Brock would need a new WrestleMania dance partner if his current one €“ Dean Ambrose €“ was suddenly involved in the world title picture, but that would be sent crashing back to reality later.
