7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 9)

1. McIntyre, Rollins Burn It Down

Hats off to Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre for having a barn-burner of a match Monday night.

The two tangled in a hotly contested bout that really showcased the Scot’s strengths as he threw Rollins around and dominated much of the contest. McIntyre hit a deadlift suplex and a deadlift sitout powerbomb, and managed to sit up from a tree of woe to toss Rollins off the top rope. He countered a Ripcord Knee with a brutal headbutt.

And McIntyre picked up the win over one of the hottest wrestlers in WWE right now. All of that counts toward a solid main event that anchored Raw nicely.

One last thing: While the joking and promos earlier might have earned a mild “down,” the action in the ring later on more than made up for it, hence their places on each respective list.
