7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 9)

3. A One-Note Joke

The 'B' Leters of Worlds
WWE

When Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel started mocking and aping the Deleters of Worlds’ shtick, it was actually pretty funny. Dallas doing a dead-on impersonation of real-life brother Bray Wyatt was a hoot.

But as the weeks have worn on, the joke has been worn out. The B-Team is doing the same routine over and over, while Wyatt and Matt Hardy cut promos back at them. And then Hardy loses a singles match, because the B-Team hasn’t lost a single bout since reinventing themselves.

The one glimmer that came Monday night was seeing the Deleters of Worlds lashing out at the B-Team for their gimmick infringement, but it shouldn’t have come to this point. This has been going on for four weeks now. A joke that was funny a month ago isn’t still side-splittingly funny – unless you write for WWE, apparently.

This is reminiscent of another time Axel got caught portraying someone else as a lark, and it got overplayed. One way or another though, this joke should be played out after Sunday.
