7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 9)

2. It Doesn’t Say ‘Counseling’ On The Marquee

When Daniel Bryan was ordered into counseling by his ex-fiancée AJ Lee and formed an unlikely duo with Kane, it was an example of catching lightning in a bottle.

But having GM Kurt Angle order former best friends Sasha Banks and Bayley into relationship counseling is about the dumbest thing that has come along in a while. The two want to fight each other, but rather than make the match, Angle has forced them to talk about their feelings.

And it’s not like the segments on Monday had the potential to win over fans like the Bryan/Kane ones several years ago. Most had the announcers talking over Banks and Bayley “arguing” with each other. At one point, Corey Graves said what everyone had to be thinking: Angle likes to say that superstars settle things in the ring, so why not these two women?

But Coach said what made everyone groan: If Sasha and Bayley can’t work things out, their futures with the company might be in jeopardy. Seriously?
