7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 9)

1. Why Isn’t Braun Champion?

Every week that goes by that Braun Strowman isn’t actively chasing or holding the WWE Universal Championship is a wasted week.

That’s just the gut reaction after watching Strowman’s lone segment on Raw Monday night, as he got in Kevin Owens’ face… and sprayed him with Lysol.

WWE has (had?) a red-hot monster ready to take over the red brand last year, and they decided to keep the title on the ultimate part-timer, Brock Lesnar. And now, Brock isn’t even on TV, has wrestled one match since WrestleMania 34, and there's no indication that he’ll be at SummerSlam.

Meanwhile, Braun is holding the Money in the Bank briefcase with no one to threaten to cash in on, and instead, he’s stalking Owens and pushing porta-potties off the Raw stage. And while KO can make almost everything watchable and entertaining, you can just feel Strowman’s special aura melting away week by week.

WWE, you need to fix this. Pronto.
