Well well, it looks like WWE was capable of pulling off an awesome shocker to end Extreme Rules after all.

Moments after Roman Reigns speared AJ Styles to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a hectic brawl, former champ Seth Rollins made his shocking return, hitting a Pedigree on Reigns and leaving him laying as fans chanted, Thank you Seth! Just like that, the landscape changed dramatically.

When Rollins vacated the title last fall due to injury, it seemed like he wouldnt sniff the title again for a while, given the low ratings during his reign, but viewership isnt better under Roman, so who knows what WWE is thinking right now.

More importantly, will WWE try to make Rollins a heel to fight Reigns, or finally give in and let Roman be a villain of sorts? Lets face it, fans arent going to boo Seth, so they can keep doing their stupid Roman elicits a strong response! nonsense or finally pay attention.
