3. Teasing A BAD Breakup
The moment Naomi came out for a match against Nikki Bella and WWE chose to talk about Sasha Banks, the immediate reaction was that the company must be insane to not have the Boss in a match on the heels of NXT TakeOver: Respect. Banks had a barnburner of a main event against Bayley over the NXT Womens Championship, and shes rapidly becoming the face of womens wrestling in WWE. But then it all made perfect sense as the Chicago faithful started (rightly) chanting, We want Sasha! and the announcers jumped all over it. They asked whether this was going to drive a wedge between Banks and her teammates. Brie Bella even tried to get into it, standing on the announce table yelling We want Sasha! into the mic to distract Naomi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc3szfr1n6I The three-team rivalry has outlived its usefulness, and some of the women in these factions could potentially stand out much better if they were on their own. Sasha clearly is a major star in the making, and shes been kept in the background of this Divas Revolution as part of Team BAD. After all, if the struggle is over the Divas Championship, why would you continue to fight a modern-day Gang Wars?
