3. ‘She’s Just Bad’

Rusev speaks the truth.

During the opening segment of Raw, Rusev and Lana finalized their divorce by signing the contract. But before he did, Rusev insisted that Bobby Lashley grant him a match – anyplace, anytime, any stipulation.

But during the divorce diatribe, Lana went on and on and on in a horrid promo where she got so lost that it’s amazing she found her way back to the ring. Either they overscripted her, or they didn’t prep her at all. (It’s WWE. One guess which it was.) She changed direction mid-sentence multiple times while fans booed her throughout.

At one point, Lashley talked about wanting to marry her, and Rusev replied, “Take her… she’s just bad.” Yeah, that about sums it up.

If the goal of this entire angle has been to make Lana a heel, then they’ve failed miserably. She had “change the channel heat” here.
