7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 23)

4. European Union Reunites

For several weeks, the directionless trio of King Barrett, Sheamus and Rusev joined forces to compete in several six-man tag matches. The group was modestly successful, actually winning a few bouts, but the main thing was that they were doing more and better as a unit than they were separately. Fast-forward to Monday night with Sheamus as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the newest member of the Authority. If you were thinking about it, you probably wondered what would happen with Barrett, who had just teamed with Sheamus at Survivor Series. Rusev was supposedly out with a bicep injury, but either that was a ruse or he healed quickly, because the Bulgarian Brute attacked Roman Reigns in the opening segment, joining up with Sheamus (and presumably, the Authority). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgk_ZTPh_Do Then in the main event, Barrett came out of nowhere to attack Reigns. While the trio ultimately was overcome by Roman and a steel chair, it still was good to see these previous relationships incorporated into the storyline to aide Sheamus.
