7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 23)

2. Wrangling Unicorns

WWE has to realize that its one hit act right now is its Tag Team Champions, New Day. There€™s really no other reason why the writers gave them the 9pm slot and three live mics to attack country music in Nashville. Announced as a country music jamboree and open challenge, New Day rode into the arena on stick unicorns, with Kofi Kingston wearing his hair in a unicorn horn and Big E looking like Jessie from Toy Story 2. The trio proceeded to mock country music, singing joke lyrics while Xavier Woods played trombone, and repeatedly told the crowd that country music sucks. It was brazen and hilarious at the same time. New Day would issue its open challenge for the Tag Team Championships, but quickly rescinded it when both the Lucha Dragons and Usos answered the challenge. You can guess how well that went for the champs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V0fje7WGKE And you have to believe that the writers are doing barely any (if any) scripting of New Day€™s promos, because there€™s no way the same writers who gave us Roman Reigns€™ €œSufferin€™ succotash!€ write this stuff.
