7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 23)

3. An International Disaster

When you talk about mishandled storylines in WWE, you can€™t leave out Alberto Del Rio€™s MexAmerica deal with Zeb Colter. The Odd Couple pairing of the two former rivals was strange enough on its own, but with each passing week, the idea that they had formed their own nation just got worse and worse. Monday, Zeb and Del Rio delivered a €œState of MexAmerica€ address, decrying everyone as haters for mocking their totally mockable €œnation.€ They then closed the borders of their country, refusing to welcome anyone who wanted to defect. As if that wasn€™t painful enough, Jack Swagger came out to respond, talking about how he promised to fight all enemies, €œboth foreign and domestic.€ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh1Sq0eMCu4 So with the forgotten Swagger stepping to Del Rio, the United States Champion€ backed down and left. Seriously, this is the best they€™ve got. Swagger, Del Rio and Colter all are capable of doing good things in the ring and on the mic, but this entire MexAmerica thing has disintegrated faster than Petoria and really needs to be put out to pasture.
