7 Ways Wrestling Changed After The 9/11 Attacks

7. The Un-Americans

Ranking high in the pile of "absurd things done with over-stock WWE talent in the post-Invasion era" was 2002's Un-Americans stable featuring Lance Storm, Christian, Test, and William Regal. Formed only nine months after 9/11, the stable reached it's early heights as Storm and Christian defeated Hulk Hogan and Edge for the WWE Tag Team Championships. As well, The Un-Americans partnered with none other than Triple H to defeat Booker T, The Undertaker, Goldust and The Rock in an eight-man tag team match at SummerSlam 2002. Maybe one of the most underrated in-ring stables in WWE history, the idea that so soon after 9/11 that a crew of non-Americans would be paired together in a stable just feels like the cheapest of heat imaginable. However, the idea that this foursome worked so well together that they were able to generate enough heat to defeat Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker and The Rock in 2002 is quite impressive nonetheless.
