Chris Jericho has written three books and if you read them all then you know that Rey Mysterio is one of his favorite opponents of all time. Since Rey is such a natural underdog babyface, Jericho relished in the fact that he could be a dirty heel and always get heat whenever he faced off against him. Plus, Jericho is a shorter wrestler so he liked working with somebody even smaller than him. There were many matches between them in WCW, but the most notable matches happened in 1998. Jericho had ascended to the top of the Cruiserweight division and was locked in as the top heel there for a while. He had PPV matches with Mysterio at Souled Out and Bash at the Beach that year. They had a number of other matches too. They were always good to watch, but that's no surprise considering most WCW Cruiserweight matches were awesome. Their rivalry picked up in WWE in 2009. Jericho was the best heel in the business that was performing at his best by that point while Mysterio was established as a top face. They had a feud for the IC Title where Mysterio also put his mask on the line. After several awesome matches, Mysterio won the feud and it elevated both guys while they provided us with one of the best feuds of that year. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xmu1wl_chris-jericho-vs-rey-mysterio_sport If you pick up the "Best in the World" Jericho book that just came out, he talks about the 2009 Mysterio feud in detail.
