7 WCW Feuds Which Carried Over To WWE

5. Steve Austin And Brian Pillman

"Stunning" Steve Ausitn and "Flyin'" Brian Pillman were a great tag team in WCW in the early 1990s known as the Hollywood Blondes. They went on to become tag team champions in 1993 and it was obvious that both guys had the potential to be singles stars too. They broke up in October 1993 and had a feud. Austin has said many times that he wasn't a fan of hem breaking up when they did because it was too early for it, but WCW booking was always weird that way. Both guys found their way to WWE by 1996 because at that time WWE was doing a great job of bringing in underutilized WCW talent to help restore their roster. http://youtu.be/NPusp3-Tt_A It was smart of WWE to put Austin and Pillman in angles together because they had unbelievable chemistry. They had some great segments in late 1996 when Pillman was interviewing Austin (Pillman was injured, so they had him do interviews since he was such a great talker) and Austin ended up beating him up in a memorable attack on October 27, 1996. A week later on November 4, Austin broke into Pillman's house and in a memorable segment, Pillman had a gun in his hands. They made it look like Pillman actually shot him although it didn't happen. They had a few matches in WWE although never a major feud because Pillman's injuries prevented him from becoming a huge star like he could have been. They did square off a few times because of Austin's feud with the Hart Foundation, which Pillman was a part of, but other than that there wasn't too much. Still, the two angles they did in late 1996 were amazing. Pillman died in October 1997. Austin said that he really didn't have too many genuine friends in the wrestling business, but he was always very close to Pillman.
