They are two of the best Cruiserweight wrestlers ever. They also had some of the best matches in both WCW and WWE, which is a testament to how awesome they were. Some wrestlers don't have chemistry with opponents. These two guys definitely did. It always looked so natural. Their best match in WCW (they had several) was the culmination of a Mask vs. Title storyline at Halloween Havoc 1997. Eddie was the heel Cruiserweight Champion that defended the title against Mysterio's mask. They had an incredible 14 minute match that was wrestling perfection. It was a great mix of technical wrestling along with the high flying lucha libre style that they grew up perfecting in Mexico as well. The fans were so receptive to it. When they got to WWE, they were both part of the Smackdown brand in 2002 where they had several amazing tag matches although they didn't have a singles feud until 2005. It was a long feud where Rey won most of the matches (including WrestleMania 21), which caused Eddie to turn heel out of jealousy because Rey was the better man. All of it led to a storyline where Eddie claimed that Rey's son Dominick was really his, but Rey beat him in a Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2005 to win the custody of his son. It was one of the better feuds of that year and one of the best in each man's career in WWE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v43lIg_K4Ao Sadly, Eddie died in late 2005. Mysterio went on to get the biggest push of his career in 2006 using the memory of his close friend to help him win the WWE World Title for the first time.
