Having moved Roman Reigns on to the WrestleMania main event, WWE are left with Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar to battle it out in the Mania co-main event. The original plan for Brock's WrestleMania feud was Bray Wyatt. The angle would have been Bray interfering in the Fastlane main event, but WWE changed their mind and instead went with Fastlane's main event being a straight match. Wyatt is now reportedly out of the picture, hence why the Lesnar Ambrose exchanges were given such prominence during the number one contender triple threat. The chemistry is certainly there, and Fastlane was successful in wetting the appetite for The Beast versus The Lunatic Fringe at WrestleMania. Ambrose's chair attack cost The Beast a title shot, and now he'll be looking for revenge on the biggest stage possible.
