7 Wrestlers Who Hated Their Own Theme Songs

3. Samoa Joe

You can thank Samoa Joe's stubbornness for the entrance theme ('Destroyer') he uses now. Had he not spoken up to Triple H and been honest about how much he disliked WWE's first draft, that song might not have happened. Praise that hardheadedness, because it saved everyone on the main roster from hearing 'Taking It Back' blare over the speakers.

Go on, have a listen.

It sucks, huh? The foreboding first two bars are there, but the thick Godzilla roar is absent and the whole thing turns into a jingle that'd fit low-budget 70s porn. If Samoa Joe was Mike Awesome: Fat Chick Thrilla', WWE's staff might've been onto something. He isn't, and so Joe believed this mid-90s era PSOne menu music had to go.

To his credit, Triple H didn't fight Joe's vision. The Samoan said on Talk Is Jericho a few years ago that 'The Game' was actually very accommodating and went out of his way to give Joe a track that he liked walking out to.
