7 Wrestlers WWE Unsuccessfully Tried To Sign In 2015
5. Moose
Moose is a rising star in Ring of Honor, one WWE has a lot of interest in, but he re-signed with ROH earlier this year which will keep him there for at least another year. According to Wrestling Observer reports from May of this year, WWE wanted to sign Moose (whose real name is Quinn Ojinnaka) to be a part of their Tough Enough show. WWE would have positioned the former NFL player as a ringer, since he had experience in the ring and he would be a contender to win the show. Instead, he turned them down, likely because there was no promise that he would be signed to a contract if he lost Recently, Moose spoke to AtlantaFalcons.com about his goals and his WWE aspirations:
I want to win the Ring of Honor Title. Long-term, Id like to sign with WWE. Im happy where Im at. When my contract with Ring of Honor is up, well see. Do I want to work for WWE someday? Yes I do. But right now, Im still young. Im 31 years old. So I dont think theres any rush. Whatever happens happens.
He sounds like a guy that is WWE-bound one day, it just won't be this year and perhaps not next year, either. He'll go when he's ready to, while WWE will likely be happy to have him just as long as he doesn't wait too long. 31 might be young in general terms, but in WWE it's practically ancient.
