7 Wrestling Grudges That NEVER Really Ended
6. Colt Cabana and CM Punk
This one stings for fans of a certain vintage. Colt Cabana and CM Punk are two Chicago natives who came up in the business at the same time. They had an endearing friendship, with Punk shouting out his then-buddy during his infamous pipe bomb in Las Vegas, which included Punk giving his legendary first post-WWE interview to his friend, in which he laid his fascinating story bare.
This has since turned sour. Very sour. The subsequent years saw Cabana and Punk taken to court by WWE, mainly due to physician Chris Amann taking umbrage with the allegations in their podcast together. Cabana and Punk faced heavy legal bills as a result, and how those would be paid led to a fracture in their friendship (despite them winning their case).
Suing and countersuing between the two occurred, before they settled out of court. Punk then signed for AEW, where Cabana was part of The Dark Order. Dirt sheet rumours pinned Cabana's decreased TV role on Punk, something Hangman Adam Page suggested in the promo that started Punk's anger within the company. The whole thing ended with Punk making these claims public in the post-match press conference at All Out, calling Scott Colton out by name. This feels like something that is unlikely to ever be resolved, such is the bad feeling between the two.
