7 WWE Acts That Peaked In NXT

1. Bo Dallas

Dallas started out in NXT as a really forgettable baby face. He was a smiling, no-nonsense good guy who had plenty of heart. The crowd couldn’t have cared less about him.

That's why it caught nearly everybody by surprise when he suddenly hit gold as a heel, playing the Justin Bieber of professional wrestling. The grinning goon would constantly talk about his army of Bo-lievers, seemingly oblivious to the boos from the crowd. "They aren't booing, they're saying 'Boooo'!”, he would explain. “No more Bo! No more Bo!”, they would shout. But they just wanted to know more about their champion, he would attest.

As the centrepiece of NXT, he constantly won by fluke, stoking the anger of the fans until finally losing to Adrian Neville in epic fashion as part of the main event of NXT's first ever live special. Unfortunately, his graduation to the main roster put him in the hands of a writing team that didn’t seem to get the nuances of what made his character great. His act was simplified to a sort of motivational speaker, repeating his catchphrases ad-nauseum.

Ever since his big-time debut, he's been treated as an afterthought by creative and is currently something of a jobber to the stars. Many die hard Bo-lievers hope he can one day regain the dizzying heights of his NXT run. Well, I suppose anything's possible if you Bo-lieve!
