7 WWE Face & Heel Turns That Must Happen In 2015

5. Sheamus - Heel

Sheamus€™ career peaked when he won the WWE Championship just four months after his debut, in December 2009. Since then, he has been on a downward slope, with his babyface turn not helping matters. The gimmick of a beer-drinking, red-haired Irishman is a cliché, a lazy stereotype that WWE used to get him over with the lowest common denominator. It worked initially, but grew stale quickly and was the reason that Sheamus found himself wallowing in the midcard before his recent injury. When he lost the United States Championship to Rusev, this was the nail in the coffin. The once-intimidating Celtic Warrior had been reduced to nothing more than a hand to push another midcarder above him. It spoke volumes of Sheamus€™ fall from grace over the past couple of years, and yet it€™s something that could be rectified easily€ How to do it: This is a time where reality should come into play €“ have Sheamus openly acknowledge that he had more success when he wasn€™t pandering to the fans. Have him attack fan favourites and try to convert them to his new way of thinking. The crowd will eat it up, and Sheamus will be on the fast track back to the main event in no time.
