7 WWE Face & Heel Turns That Must Happen In 2015

3. Dolph Ziggler - Heel

Dolph Ziggler is one of the most over babyfaces on the entire roster at the moment, so The Show-Off might seem a strange choice for a heel turn, but hear me out. At present, the roster is full of popular faces (Cena, Bryan, Ambrose, Ryback, and probably Randy Orton) and Ziggler has shown few signs of being able to break out of the pack. Whilst a career-best performance at Survivor Series has certainly helped his cause, Ziggler is still stuck in that upper midcard spot and has never been seen as a main event player. A heel turn would likely allow Ziggler more promo time to develop his character, and could lead to another world championship run. How to do it: The rumours currently circulating are that Ziggler with face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 31, with many fans already tipping it to steal the show. While the in-ring work will no doubt be incredible, the bout itself comes off as something of an €˜exhibition€™ match, with no story behind it other than to simply see who can pin the other. For an event the calibre of WrestleMania, this will simply not do. After agreeing to a match and signing a contract, Ziggler should turn on Bryan with a Zig Zag from behind, and announce that he has joined the Authority. He has a motive €“ for too long he has relied on fan support rather than politics to get him to the top, but it hasn€™t worked. Instead, he is placing his faith in the COO of WWE, Triple H, and he will prove his worth by taking out their most hated wrestler, Daniel Bryan. This will give both Bryan and Ziggler more incentive to win the match, as well as giving the fans at Levi€™s Stadium more reason to root for a Bryan victory. In the long term, an alliance with the Authority could help Ziggler in much the same way they helped Rollins, who is now arguably the top heel in the company.
