Another guy Hulk Hogan apparently refused to job to - or even work with at all - was Rick Rude, who after jumping ship to WCW in the early 1990s was all set to become one of the biggest stars of Ted Turner's new plaything.

According to Eric Bischoff, the Hulkster was hostile towards Rude because of a rumour that, back in their WWE days, Rude once beat up his buddy Ultimate Warrrior backstage, after the latter flippantly suggested he wasn't main event material.

To be fair, presuming this is all true, it's not exactly an unreasonable stance to take. Whether or not someone insults your ability as a wrestler, you can't just go around beating them up as means of getting even. We have protocol for a reason, for Heaven's sake.

But, then again, this is Hulk Hogan we're talking about. It's very possible that the whole Warrior thing was just being used to conceal the fact that he didn't rate Rude as a top-tier talent, and didn't want him (or anyone else) stealing his lime-light on Nitro.
