8 Big Questions Raised By Neville Walking Out On WWE

1. Are We Being Worked?

Something about this story doesn't quite add up.

It was originally reported that Neville was set to wrestle Enzo Amore for the Cruiserweight Championship on Monday Night Raw, which doesn't make any sense, given the Englishman had already violated his 'no contact' clause. The reports were later adjusted to state that Neville vs. Enzo would've been a non-title bout, and that the Kalisto match was booked on the fly, but would WWE really pull a quickfire title change on such short notice? It does't make any sense, particularly after redesigning the division in Amore's image.

It's perfectly believable that Neville asked for his release, but while the Wrestling Observer and Pro Wrestling Sheet have seemingly confirmed the news with their sources, there's a chance we're all being worked. The odds are slim, but it's not impossible, and this might just be the latest step in WWE's attempts at drawing attention to the cruiserweight division.

Is this far-fetched? Sure, but it can't be ruled out until we receive confirmation of Neville's status. If it is a work, and it succeeds in propelling the former Cruiserweight Champion to something greater, it'll be considered a success.
