8 Biggest Disappointments Going Into WrestleMania 31

3. Reigns vs Lesnar Will Be Outperformed By Other Matches

Before we proceed, let's put a quick pin in this... We are not debating about whether or not Reigns deserves to be in the WWE Title match. It's been chewed up and debated to death, and whatever your opinion, there's little chance of it changing before Sunday, especially as a result of reading this article. It's up to Roman to prove himself worthy at Wrestlemania, and we can only wait and see whether he does or not. However, there is one valid point that can be made. Wrestlemania's main event will likely disappoint when compared to the undercard. That's not a criticism of Reigns or even Lesnar, it's just a fact. Looking at the other matches, we have a seven man ladder match, the return of The Undertaker after a whole year, and Sting's first ever WWE match. With expectations so high for all of those matches (for better or worse), it's hard to see this match as anything but a comedown. Maybe fans are just deadset against Reigns in the title picture, maybe they're just honest about the skills of both participants, but for whatever reason, people just aren't as invested in this match as they are in some of the others. The pressure will be on for both Lesnar and Reigns to deliver in this match and win over the crowd. To say it's a challenge will be an understatement, both men will have to put on the best match of their lives if they want people to leave Wrestlemania on a high note. Lesnar can pull off the big fight atmosphere, but with Reigns, it's unlikely that he'll rise to the occasion. It sucks, but WWE had to expect to disappoint when they put an untested talent in the main event of the biggest show of the year. There's no other outcome.
