8 Biggest FUMBLES In WWE History

1. The Nexus

The Nexus had it all. This upstart group of pro wrestling rookies, mentored by various members of the main roster, were originally part of NXT's origins as a reality TV competition. This all came crashing down in one electrifying spot, as the rookies snapped and took apart CM Punk, The Straight Edge Society, the announce team, the ring itself, and golden boy John Cena on June 6th, 2010 during Monday Night Raw's main event in one of the most thrilling segments in WWE television history.

It felt sporadic and laced with just enough reality to make the whole thing believable. Led by Wade Barrett, they continued to wreak havoc every week, culminating in a Team WWE vs Nexus match at SummerSlam 2010 in Los Angeles. The Nexus came into the match red hot but that would all come grinding to a halt in one maddening creative decision.

Despite taking a DDT on an exposed concrete floor, John Cena emerged as the match's victor, tapping out Wade Barrett and killing the whole angle in an instant. The Nexus obviously no longer looked like a credible threat, as Cena claimed victory yet again, with Edge and Chris Jericho famously against this nonsensical outcome.
