Oh, Sheamus. You poor bloke. You never stood a chance with what you were given.

In 2015, Sheamus returned from injury looking... well, stupid, is the best word. Or it's the word the crowds decided was the punchiest, since they chanted "You look stupid" at him for months afterward. In addition, he turned heel upon returning, and he went from a moderately liked fiery babyface to a dull-as-a-doornail heel who received a mixture of apathy and irritation from the crowd.

Upon winning the MiTB briefcase, Sheamus proceeded to do little of substance (aside from lose on PPV), and then, when the time came for him to win the WWE title, he cashed in on Roman Reigns. AKA: the most popular and beloved wrestler on the roster.

I'm joking, of course, Roman was already getting massive boos, and so the feud he and Sheamus had could charitably be described as awful. Not only that, but Sheamus' title reign lasted a whopping three weeks before he dropped the title back to Reigns. Afterward, he was relegated to midcard obscurity before finding his Swiss savior Cesaro.

Just a gargantuan waste of everyone's time.
