8 Booking Steps For Cody Rhodes In WWE

4. The Title Win

Beyond 'Mania? The major championships.

There's a solid case to be made that the Universal Title is WWE's most prestigious in 2022. Roman Reigns is top boy, and he holds the blue belt. Meanwhile, over on Raw, the more-tenured WWE Title has bounced around a little lately and arguably lost a bit of lustre.

Privately, if he was being honest, Cody would probably covet the WWE Championship over its SmackDown counterpart. There was a time when Rhodes was never getting close to the "richest prize", so it'd mean a lot to him if he could return to McMahon-land and snare Vince's 58-year old strap in 2022.

As fun as it'd be from a fan's perspective to see Rhodes return as a top babyface worthy of taking the Universal from Roman, the alternative is also fine. Seeing someone who was f'n Stardust hold that WWE belt sounds like exactly what Cody deserves following his 2016 slide.
