8 Changes To Make Bray Wyatt A Success In WWE

7. Ring Time

According to the Cagematch database, AJ Styles wrestled 45 times on television or pay-per-view in 2017. Seth Rollins, meanwhile, worked 46 bouts despite periods of injury. Bray Wyatt, however, wrestled just 24 times, excluding his appearance as one of the 30 men in the Royal Rumble match.

This simply isn't enough for a top tier WWE talent. It's understandable that the company likes to keep Wyatt behind the scenes outside of big matches, but this means there are often weeks between the occasions where the Eater of Worlds steps between the ropes. There's only so far that ominous promos and pre-taped vignettes can get someone, particularly when much of their character rests upon their status as a formidable force who can back up his big words when he steps into action.

It's difficult to believe Bray Wyatt as a successful in-ring competitor when he rarely actually gets into the ring. He's competing in around half as many matches as his bedfellows in the main event scene. WWE needs to keep this in mind and provide a succession of challengers for Wyatt to blast through in between his marquee matches.
