CM Punk Vs. Brock Lesnar is the obvious first choice, given their previous history and their connection to Paul Heyman. Heyman acts as the tether between them. Lesnar is Paul's most prestigious client, but Punk's been a Heyman guy for years and enjoyed arguably his most success when paired with him on-screen. At 2013's Money in the Bank, Heyman betrayed CM Punk and cost him his chance at claiming the coveted briefcase by hitting him off the ladder. This betrayal would prompt Lesnar to return and attack Punk on a subsequent RAW. After Heyman challenged Punk to a 1-on-1 match, Lesnar reemerged to wrap up their feud in a No Disqualification match at SummerSlam, where Heyman screwed Punk out of a win. Punk did have get revenge on Heyman at Hell in a Cell, though, but he has yet to avenge his loss to Lesnar. After his UFC stint, successful or not, the hardened Punk can claim to be a different opponent for Lesnar. Punk has long boasted to being the "Best in the World", but now he can try to claim the "toughest in WWE" label against Lesnar. Punk would not only have endured the Octagon, but learned the extent of his durability, a characteristic that other Lesnar opponents have failed to adequately present. Reigns tried to prove his mettle against Lesnar at Wrestlemania, but Punk's toughness will actually be validated by his real-life exploits. Lesnar's aura of invincibility is at an all-time high, even without the WWE Title draped over his mammoth shoulders. He has often broken his opponents by intimidation, followed by a couple dozen suplexes. But a battle-tested Punk presents a unique set of challenges in 2016/17 for a collision between the two.
