4. CM Punk Vs. Roman Reigns
Turning Reigns heel has been suggested to the point of parody now. And by the looks of the bafflingly booked 2015 Survivor Series, Reigns is still set for the Cena formula - boo him and the more things will stay the same. With seemingly no end to Reign's babyface trajectory in sight, why not book him against Punk, a man who revels in being the Voice for the Voiceless? Reigns requires not just any fan-favorite, but THE fan-favorite, and that's Punk. While Reigns turning on Dean Ambrose offers a built-in betrayal of a brother and former Shield member, allowing both to call backup for each other throughout the years always gives WWE the option. Like Undertaker and Kane, or Edge and Christian, they can feud and have stand alone matches against one another, but everyone will always prefer them as a unit and they'll inevitably team up once the bad blood simmers down. However, Reigns and Punk have little to nothing in common. Except that Reign's superstar cousin, The Rock, has been a thorn in Punk's side, a living testament to everything that's wrong with respect, honor, and hard work in pro wrestling (at least according to Phil Brooks). Then there's the fact that Punk was the man who originally brought Reigns/The Shield into the company in the storyline and, hey-ho, you've got some backstory. Punk would likely perceive Reign's forced push as an unmerited gimme, ridiculing Reigns for not having earned his spot and exposing him for the corporate choice that he is.
