NXT has plenty of options when it comes to an NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver: Dallas. Ember Moon currently holds the belt, but she was well and truly obliterated by Shayna Baszler in Philadelphia. The only thing the Queen of Spades failed to do was win the title, her inexperience letting her down at the last.

Kairi Sane made her return to action in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble, but it is unlikely that the pirate-turned-yacht enthusiast will become a fixture on the main roster just yet. Expect the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic to return to NXT at the next batch of tapings. Surely Sane must be in line for a shot at the women’s belt on a big stage?

I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that Baszler will defeat an injured Moon for the title at those very tapings. The arrival of Ronda Rousey means that more mainstream eyes are on WWE right now, with many of those optics coming from the MMA world. The time to put the belt on the former UFC competitor is now.

All singles matches are on the table, but NXT could well decide to put all three individuals into a title match in New Orleans. Candice LeRae could be included to make this a four-way, but she might be busier making sure her husband isn’t murdered by the coward Tommaso Ciampa.
