8 (In)famous Fatherhood Moments In WWE History
2. Rey Mysterio Ropes His Kids Into Some Nonsense
All of the examples on this list are of people interacting with their fathers when everyone involved is an adult. Somehow, Rey Mysterio was talked into involving his small children in angles not once, but twice.
In 2005, Rey had an infamous feud with Eddie Guerrero over the true fatherhood of his 10-year-old son Dominic, which culminated in a ladder match at SummerSlam for the boy’s custody. At a young age, Dominic was brought into the business by standing in the ring to listen to his dad and family friend argue about who his real father his, and getting physically involved with matches where Eddie almost hit him. And most kids his age probably just went to an amusement park for their summer vacations. What losers.
In 2010, as part of the build for his match with CM Punk at WrestleMania, Rey had his wife, Dominic, and daughter Aalyah out to celebrate the little girl’s 9th birthday. CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society interrupted the proceedings, and sang a creepy rendition of Happy Birthday to Aalyah. As Rey shielded his daughter from Punk, the straight edge superstar made threats to Mysterio’s family, telling his daughter that he was going to beat up Rey right in front of her while she cried. The Mysterios: attracting creeps since 2005.
