8 (In)famous Fatherhood Moments In WWE History
3. Ric Flair = Sasha's New Daddy (Wait... )
Ever since Charlotte’s arrival in WWE, she’s shared many moments with her father Ric Flair. Naitch was there for all of her first major title wins, including the new Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 32, and played a hand in many of her defenses.
However, in May 2016, Charlotte had enough of her dad, and disowned him. Ric wouldn’t be seen for months until a November episode of RAW from Charlotte, North Carolina. 'The Queen' and Sasha Banks were in a falls count anywhere match for the RAW Women’s Championship, and naturally, since Charlotte was in her hometown and this is WWE, Sasha defeated her to win the title. Ric Flair then came out, ignored his battered daughter, and embraced Sasha Banks, congratulating her on her victory.
It’s an amusing look at WWE’s backwards logic: they won’t put people over in their hometowns, but they’ll still bring out hometown heroes for a cheap pop.
Anyway, Charlotte slapped Ric a week later on RAW, and their strained on-camera relationship continues.
