NXT fans who have loved watching Asuka's slick submission skills will find a lot to love in Io Shirai's work, as well as her stiff suplexes and kicks.
Meanwhile, her high flying moonsaults and springboard dropkicks will have people applauding and wincing in equal measure, bringing to mind the skills of the great Manami Toyota.
Shirai is the current reigning World of Stardom Champion and has undoubtedly had one of the best in ring years of anyone in the business.
Rumours on the internet suggest that both Shirai and her friend-turned-foe Kairi Hojo have both been offered WWE contracts which are due to start in 2017.
Only time will tell whether those rumours turn out to be true.
