The market research survey states that those choosing the 9.99 and 14.99 packages would get live access to NXT. What exactly does this mean? As of writing, NXT is taped ahead of time at Full Sail University, which leads somewhat to fatigue towards the end of a taping schedule. Does this hint that the developmental brand could be moving to a live format?

Well, maybe. NXT runs its own live events and certainly has the talent to work a one-hour live show. It would benefit the brand hugely, much in the same way a move to live TV has helped SmackDown. It may also mean that subscribers could get access to the tapings a lot earlier than usual.

Either way, the prominence of NXT in the fan survey suggests that there could be some changes up ahead for the brand. Whether this is a move to a live format or better access for those higher subscribers remains to be seen.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
