8 New Directions After WWE Money In The Bank 2019

5. Samoa Joe Targeting Bigger Prizes?

Samoa Joe Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio is the new United States Champion, for now. Don't forget that Samoa Joe lost controversially on Sunday (his shoulder was definitely up) and so he'll chew Shane McMahon's ear off until he gets one of those rematches beaten champs apparently never get anymore.

Convenience wins on this occasion, we're afraid.

The long-term strategy must be to give Joe a leg up towards the WWE Title scene again. His feud with AJ Styles, which had the Samoan cutting some of 2018's best promos, sort of fizzled out, and it's a shame he was subsequently excommunicated from top billing. Joe has potential to be SmackDown's best heel, but he needs strong booking.

Mauling Mysterio's son Dominic, regaining the belt and then putting his reclaimed United States gold up against the top titles in the land would be a good start. Nobody should turn their nose up at the thought of weekly Joe promos.
