8 New Directions For WWE After Clash In Paris 2025

1. AJ Lee’s First WWE Match Since 2015

There's been lot of talk online that AJ Lee will be back in the company soon for a mixed tag with CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Of note, Punk also held up a “PUNK BRING BACK AJ LEE” sign during the post show whilst he was walking back up the aisle way. He seemed to hesitate on that before eventually grabbing the thing and acknowledging it.

It's also been reported elsewhere that AJ’s name has come up in WWE creative meetings recently. Beforehand, those suggestions were always quickly thrown out by figureheads, but things have changed in September 2025. Nowadays, Triple H is open to pondering all of the possibilities an AJ run could bring. That mixed tag would only be for starters.

What if she brings the thunder Trish Stratus style and proves to be a valuable part-time addition to the women's division? That's worth finding out, if nothing else. The final decision will rest on Lee's shoulders. She left WWE in a bit of a cloud a decade or so ago, and it seemed like she'd never get the chance to say goodbye to fans properly.

Then, hell froze over and Punk returned in late-2023. Since then, his fanbase has been clamouring for AJ to do the same. It looks like that could well happen at Wrestlepalooza on 20 September. Or, if that's far too soon and she hasn't been doing a lot of training/didn't get a heads up privately behind the scenes, then Lee could get herself ready for Crown Jewel or Survivor Series.

Wrestling is some buzz, isn't it?
